We Monitor Your Dental Health
Our team at Canyon Creek Dental Clinic helps monitor patients oral health in Calgary with dental technologies.
From pinpointing existing or newly developed issues to creating a plan to monitor and treat your dental concerns, these diagnostic imaging tools are a valuable resource every step of the way.
With our in-room monitors, we can show you your dental condition and treatment results within moments of taking your scans, making for a more efficient experience.
Dental technology helps us with our goal to provide patients with the dental care they need while making sure they are fully informed about their oral health.
Digital X-Rays
Digital X-rays use digital sensors instead of traditional photographic X-ray film. Using this imaging technology, your dentist can produce highly detailed computer images of the teeth and gums, as well as other oral structures. This allows them to easily see the areas of concern within your mouth and diagnose potential conditions.
Panoramic X-Rays
Your dentist may use panoramic X-rays to create a single image of your oral structures as a whole. This image is a flat representation of the teeth, upper and lower jaws, temporomandibular joints (TMJ), and nasal and sinus structures. Panoramic X-rays are commonly used by dentists to help during the planning stage for dentures, braces, extractions and implants.
Intraoral Scanners
Intraoral scanners create digital dental impressions, an ideal alternative to traditional dental impressions which can be messy and time-consuming. Using an optical scanning wand, your dentist is able to take a digital image of your teeth and oral structures within moments. This allows them to quickly and efficiently capture accurate data to create digital replicas of the hard and soft tissues of your mouth.
iTero 3D Scanner
The iTero® intraoral scanner is a diagnostic imaging technology that enhances your experience by taking accurate, 3D impressions of your bite. It allows us to plan your dental treatment quickly and accurately in real-time. We are also able to compare scans taken throughout your treatment using digitally stored data to help with monitoring your progress.
